Australian Idol judge Amy Shark breaks her silence on co-host Kyle Sandilands' bust-up with Jackie 'O' Henderson as she attends International Women's Day luncheon

Amy Shark only had kind words for her Australian Idol co-host Kyle Sandilands as she attended the Marie Claire International Women's Day Luncheon at the Sydney Theatre Company on Friday. 

The shock jock, 54, is having a tough week after a bust-up with his co-star Jackie 'O' Henderson saw her sensationally quit The Kyle & Jackie O Show.

Amy, 39, addressed questions about the media firestorm her colleague has faced as she walked the red carpet. 

'Since day one of working with Kyle, he's just been nothing but lovely to me,' she told Daily Mail.

'I can't say that I've really had enough time to speak to him and I'm sort of giving him some space.'

'We've got a week or so off idol, so I think it's good for him to just take some time,' she added. 

ARN announced on Tuesday that Jackie's $100 million contract has been terminated after she told executives she 'cannot continue to work with Mr Kyle Sandilands' following his harsh comments on air that left her in tears. 

Kyle has been suspended and given 14 days to 'remedy' the breach, or else faces termination, while Jackie has been offered the possibility of an alternative show on the network.

Meanwhile, Kyle has also 'called in lawyers' and is 'preparing to sue' ARN should his $100 million contract be terminated following the collapse of KIIS FM's The Kyle & Jackie O Show, The Australian reported on Thursday.

Kyle is reportedly seeking a payout for the remainder of that contract, on which he has eight years and $88million remaining.

Meanwhile, Amy walked the IWD carpet on Friday in a casual ensemble, wearing a pair of black trousers and a stripped crop T-shirt.

She finished the look with a sturdy set of black boots and styled her dark tresses in her signature half-up do. 

Elsewhere, Tara Moss looked stunning in a vintage Vivienne Westwood frock.

The Canadian-Australian author, 52, let the Boucher print dress speak for itself as she paired it with a simple necklace and classic black pumps.

Opting for a neutral makeup look, Tara left her long locks down and settled for a subtle lick of nude lipstick.  

Jessica Fox opted for a classic black maxi dress with large statement buttons from Sheike.

The French-born Australian Olympic and world champion slalom canoeist, 31,  paired her monochrome frock with black strappy sandals. 

With a handbag slung over her shoulder, Jessica slipped on an elegant watch and gold armband to complete her look. 

Grace Tame led the pack wearing a sparkling silver mini dress by Rachel Gilbert, which retails for $1,695. 

The glittering frock featured a high neckline and an internal corset, with an overlay of wet-look material moulded and draped against the activist's frame. 

Grace, 31, kept her accessories simple with a few large gemstone rings and modest gold earrings as she stepped into a pair of black heels.

The former Australian of the Year opted for a soft glam makeup look and left her long curly tresses down. 

Melissa Leong  also opted for a monochrome look, arriving with a black jacket over a midi dress with black Jimmy Choo pumps to match.

A moment later, the former MasterChef judge, 44, shrugged off her coat to reveal her frock was strapless. 

To add to the opulence of her look, Melissa carried a Bottega Veneta handbag under her arm. 

Narelda Jacobs and her wife Karina Natt looked every inch the matching couple.

The happy pair stepped out in brightly coloured and beautifully patterned outfits, with the TV presenter, 50, opting for a maxi dress.

Meanwhile, Karina, a former lawyer and journalist, opted for a striped blouse loosely tucked into a pink slip skirt. 

Jess Rowe looked as stylish as ever in a turquoise frock with some peek-a-boo pink.

The media personality, 55, posed up a storm in the dress, which she matched with nude heels and pink hair dye.
