Dolly Parton revealed that she has a special bond with — and a remarkable resemblance to — her younger sister Rachel Parton George this week.
The country queen, who turns 80 next month, and her 66-year-old lookalike sibling were each other’s mirror image in an Instagram post shared by the Backwoods Barbie singer on December 17.
'The holidays are all about coming together in the kitchen, sharing a meal and making memories with the people you love, just like my sister Rachel and I always have,' wrote Parton, whose reclusive husband Carl Dean died earlier this year.
Parton — who appeared on Khloé Kardashian's podcast on the latest episode of The Kardashians — couldn’t help plugging the duo’s cookbook either, adding: 'Plan your festive feast with our cookbook #GoodLookinCookin!'
George, an actress and singer like her big sister who later turned to writing cookbooks, and Parton were seen dressed to the nines in outfits that outlined their hourglass figures and high heels.
The sisters wore perfect makeup, big blond hair and even bigger smiles.

The rest of the slideshow included a closer look at the cracker-and-dip appetizer and a plate of holiday roast beef sliced to perfection.
Fans responded positively, with one writing, 'That is so nice family always comes first you both look gorgeous,' and another echoing, 'What beautiful beautiful women.'
Their Good Lookin’ Cookin’ cookbook was released in September 2024, and Parton promoted the effort with a message for her Instagram followers.
'I love good cooking, but not as much as I love my sister Rachel,' she wrote at the time. 'So, getting to combine the two was a joy beyond belief for me. We hope you have as much fun reading these stories as we did putting them together.'
George lives close by Parton in Franklin, Tennessee, and she generally stays out of the public spotlight. She currently works as an executive in her sister's business ventures.
Three months ago, Parton postponed her six December concerts from her Dolly: Live in Las Vegas residency due to 'health challenges' that required medical procedures, she stated on Instagram.
She reassured her fans that she was only stepping back temporarily.

'I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,' she said in her statement.
'As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures.'
She proved she hasn’t lost her signature humor either. 'As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000 check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!'
'In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You see good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you.'
Meanwhile, in a previous interview with People, Parton insisted she hasn’t 'got time to get old' even though she’s turning 80 in January.
'People say, "Well, you’re going to be 80 years old." Well, so what? Look at all I’ve done in 80 years. I feel like I’m just getting started,' she said.
'I know that sounds stupid, but unless my health gives way, which right now I seem to be doing fine... I think there’s a lot to be said about age.
'If you allow yourself to get old, you will. I say, "I ain’t got time to get old!" I ain’t got time to dwell on that. That’s not what I’m thinking about.'

Parton has been reflecting on how much she has 'sacrificed' for the sake of her career over the years.
Speaking about her new book, Star Of The Show: My Life On Stage, released on November 11, she told People: 'You know, I have just been going so fast my whole life.
'And I just start thinking, "How in the world did I even have a life? How did I even get it done?" I really realized when I was putting this book together just how much I had sacrificed in my life.
'I never had children, so at least I didn’t have a guilty feeling. I’m thankful that I got to see my dreams come true.'
