Are we 100% sure they're not at least cousins?

Reddit user u/PenguinJack_ posted in r/movies: "Which actors did you not realize were different people?" and users pointed out numerous actors who bear a striking resemblance to one another.

Here are 48 actors who people didn't realize were different people:

1. "I was pretty sure that Billy Zane was Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo) in The Mummy for pretty much ever until I paid closer attention to the credits. It was the eyebrows, I think."

Universal, Universal Pictures

2. "Kingsman release is when I finally realized Mark Strong and Stanley Tucci were different people. Literally sitting there, telling my husband, 'Oh! I loved him in The Devil Wears Prada.'"

Vulture, Universal Pictures

4. "When Terence Stamp passed away earlier this year, my first thought was, 'Oh man, that's sad, I loved him in Castlevania!' Only to be humbly reminded that I was, in fact, thinking of Malcolm McDowell."

MGM, Artisan Entertainment

5. "To me, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Javier Bardem looked similar only when they were younger. They also kinda did similar romantic movies. Now I can tell them apart easily. The difference in accent also makes it easier."

6. "Nick Nolte and Gary Busey, I still couldn't tell you which one was which in a lineup."

7. "Mel Gibson and Kurt Russell's characters in Lethal Weapon and Tango & Cash were so similar. It didn’t help."

8. "I feel like Kathryn Hahn could show up in an SNL skit and everyone would assume it was Ana Gasteyer."

9. "100% thought Tom Hardy and Logan Marshall-Green was the same actor at first."

10. "I have this somewhat with Ian McShane and Gabriel Byrne. I know they're different, but I frequently get them confused. I THOUGHT that was the case at least until I saw John Wick: Ballerina, and I literally thought Byrne was the same character as McShane, and I was VERY confused until about halfway through the movie when I realized what my brain had done, LOL."

11. "Dylan McDermott and Dermot Mulroney are the same person, and you can't convince me otherwise."

12. "It took me until my late teens to stop confusing Susan Sarandon and Sigourney Weaver."

13. "I watched Nine Perfect Strangers, and I was pretty sure I knew who I was seeing. Then I realized Bradley Garrett is way older than Bobby Cannavale, and I was being dumb. Still think it's a little uncanny."

14. "I watched the entirety of the new Jurassic World, unaware that I was seeing Rupert Friend, not Orlando Bloom, the whole time (went into it nearly blind — seeing JP in the theater is something of a tradition for me and my dad since he got me out of school to go to the first one)."

Universal Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer

15. "I used to get Erika Christensen and Julia Stiles mixed up all the time."

USA Films, Buena Vista Pictures

16. "When I watched Nocturnal Animals, I thought Isla Fisher and Amy Adams were the same person. I was so confused."

17. "I thought Debi Mazar and Fairuza Balk were the same actress, and she was just aging extraordinarily well. To be frank, they both look great, but I didn’t realize they were two different people."

Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures Releasing

18. "I thought Christopher Meloni played Casey Jones in the ‘90s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, but then I learned Elias Koteas exists."

19. "I couldn't tell Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson apart as a kid which made Schindler's List really confusing."

20. "When My Best Friend's Wedding came out, I had a very difficult time telling Dermot Mulroney and Rupert Everett apart to the point where I had problems following the plot. The fact that Rupert is English apparently didn't matter to my brain, which just saw two generically handsome white men with brown hair and said, 'Yep, same guy.'"

21. "Joey Lauren Adams and Renee Zellweger for so long, especially since they were both in Dazed and Confused."

Sony Pictures Releasing, Miramax Films

22. "Jason Bateman and Nathan Fillion, 15–20 years ago, anyway. And now, if you listen to their voices, Nathan Fillion and Noah Wyle, they sound alike."

23. "It's gotten to the point where I'll call Kiernan Shipka and Mckenna Grace by the other's name when they pop up on screen, and my husband will correct me. He has celebrity blindness, and I'm always the one who has to correct him, so you know it's bad that the roles got reversed for us."

Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros.

24. "Thomas Jane and Aaron Eckhart. I totally thought Eckhart had played the Punisher."
